Hi, I’m Carey
Like many therapists before me, I draw my passion for my work from personal experience. My story with anxiety ultimately shaped who I am as a practitioner today.
When I began experiencing anxiety symptoms just after college graduation, I thought the best I could do was learn to recognize my symptoms and try to learn to manage them. Through many years of therapy, I did just that. As the years progressed, I became better at managing my symptoms…but it was always hard. I lived alongside my anxiety every single day. It was with me from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to sleep. It stole pieces of my energy, my focus, my joy.
This may sound familiar if you’ve participated in traditional therapy in the past. Now, I am in no way saying that other popular therapy modalities do not work wonderfully for some or that talk therapy can’t be very helpful, because it can. It just didn’t ultimately lead me to the results I craved. I am here today ready to offer different treatment options for those of you, who like me, have found little help in many of the more well known, traditional therapies, or for those who are interested in trying something unique right from the start.

I am a very solution-focused therapist. This means that we will be working on tangible ways to make changes in your life and reduce your experience of anxiety as efficiently as possible. I use the following techniques in my work with patients:

I earned my Masters in Social Work (MSW) from the University of South Florida in 2014. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida (SW14159) and in the state of Virginia (0904019624)

Intake Session (90-120 minutes): $175
On-going Sessions (60 minutes): $150
SLIDING SCALE
